First Day of School!

Today was the first day of school in our district. I was so eager to welcome my new class of 22 third graders! They were eager to be at school as well, even though the summer was short :). We enjoyed getting to know you activities such as performing a "talk show", sharing our fav books parts and making "marshmallow toes" snacks! Wonderful day...can't wait until tomorrow!

Welcome!

Welcome 3rd graders and parents! This blog will be used as an extra classroom connection this school year. There will be interactive actvities posted, as well as class updates. Third grade is an exciting year and I am so looking forward to spending it with you!

FAQs

How do we use the agenda?

*Students are to write down upcoming events in the agenda, unfinished work from the day to be completed, and other information parent might need.

*Behavior information from day is recorded in agenda.

*Agenda is to be signed nightly by parent or guardian.

Classroom Volunteers:

Volunteers are welcome at anytime in our classroom! It is helpful if you schedule ahead with me however, so I am able to have tasks ready for you. You must also have the Volunteer Training completed.

Class Birthdays:

Treats are welcome for birthday celebrations. Please just check with me concerning time and allergy precautions :)

Transportation Changes:

Any transportation change must always be in writing and sent in before 2PM on the day of the change.

The easiest method of contacting me is by email at melissa.mullins@scott.kyschool.us. I will try to respond after school hours on that day. You may also call during my plan time 11:20-12:00 each school day at 502 863-1170. Parent communication is a must!
